The Prince

The Prince is the Pharaoh’s petulant son in ‘The Scorpion God’. He is reluctant to fulfil his destiny as heir to the throne and is even more against the idea of marrying his sister, Pretty Flower, as tradition dictates. The Prince confesses to the blind man that he has a ‘white smoke in his eyes’, which will the man believes will have a dire effect on society. To prevent the blind man from revealing his secret, he accuses him of tripping his father, and he is put to death as punishment.

Following the death of the Pharaoh, the Prince becomes a God. He tries to run away and seeks help from the Liar, and is pleased when things seem to be going his way…
