Introducing The Spire Film

Our film introduces readers to Golding’s 1965 novel The Spire. The book is set in a fictional version of Salisbury Cathedral and in the film, we explore this beautiful building, tracing key locations and sources of inspiration. The film features excerpts read by Benedict Cumberbatch, and interviews with Golding’s daughter Judy Golding Carver and academic Dr Nicola Presley.
