William Golding: The Faber Letters event at the Marlborough Literature Festival
Tickets are on sale now for an exciting event at the Marlborough Literature Festival on Friday 25th September! The editor of William Golding: The Faber Letters, Professor Tim Kendall, will be in conversation with Judy Golding Carver, Golding’s daughter, and Dr Nicola Presley. Tim will discuss the process of editing this volume of correspondence between Golding and his Faber editor Charles Monteith. The letters begin with the submission of Lord of the Flies, and continue up until Golding’s death until 1993.
Golding grew up in Marlborough so this is the perfect place to host a Golding event! His novel, The Pyramid, is loosely based on some of his experiences as a young man in Marlborough.
