William Golding on the Slightly Foxed podcast

William Golding is the subject of the most recent Slightly Foxed podcast! The episode, called ‘William Golding: A Literary Colossus’ features Judy Golding Carver and Professor Tim Kendall from the University of Exeter. Judy and Tim discuss a number of Golding novels, including the best-known Lord of the Flies, The Inheritors, The Spire and Rites of Passage. They explore the writer’s reading habits particularly Greek mythology and perhaps surprisingly, the work of Georgette Heyer and Jilly Cooper and consider the contemporary writers who have been influenced by Golding, such as Stephen King.
