William Golding was one of the featured authors on a recent podcast from the Iris Murdoch Society. The podcast on Murdoch and her contemporaries featured Dr Nonia Williams on Doris Lessing, Dr James Bailey on Muriel Spark, and Dr Nicola Presley on Golding. Topics discussed were mysticism, WW2, politics, feminism and many more! Golding was a fan of Murdoch’s work and he included her debut novel Under the Net on the syllabus for his course at Hollins College.
